AD Training EPI with a wide range of experience seeking an opportunity to help people by applying my skills and knowledge.
Under the supervision of the District Health Officer, EOC training team, and with guidance from UNICEF training focal persons, I performed the following duties:
Identified and assessed training needs for employees in their designated towns through pre-post tests, obtained cluster samples, liaised with DHCSOs/DSOs, and conducted feedback sessions with UCCOs and DDHCSO.
Assisted in organizing and implementing training programs to meet the training needs of the PEI and EPI programs. This included preparing monthly plans, specifying dates, venues, and logistical requirements in collaboration with designated DHCSO/DSOs.
Conducted training sessions in collaboration with DHCSO/DSOs, ensuring interactivity and participation to enhance the effectiveness of training content and delivery, thereby increasing field force productivity.
Evaluated training performance and made recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of training content and delivery. This involved maintaining trainee records for designated areas and preparing TNA reports, training reports, micro-planning activity reports, and training plans.
Observed and assisted in micro-planning with DHSCOs/DSOs, conducted field visits with DHCSOs/UCCSOs/DSOs and other field staff, and provided on-the-job coaching during joint field visits.
Furthermore, as AD Training, I also involved myself in AFP (Acute Flaccid Paralysis) surveillance and other VPDs surveillance. I assisted AD Surveillance and other concerned surveillance staff in AFP case documentation, such as helping them fill out immediate case notification forms and case investigation forms, and oriented parents in sample collection. I ensured my regular participation in monthly Surveillance review meetings and worked with the surveillance team to improve surveillance indicators like 7-day case notification and proper cold chain maintenance.
Moreover, I conducted training programs and facilitated the formulation of micro plans related to EPI/PEI campaigns such as Polio National and Supplementary Immunization Days (NIDs/SIAs), Measles and Rubella (MR) SIAs, Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) SIAs, and enhanced outreach activities to boost immunization coverage. I also conducted sessions on essential immunization, interpersonal communication, VPD surveillance, RED/REC micro-planning, polio campaign micro-planning, National Electronic Immunization Registry training for vaccination staff, and refresher training sessions as needed. Additionally, I engaged in high-risk population tracing.
Beyond capacity building, I was involved in developing training materials and coordinating training sessions. As part of my role, I identified gaps in knowledge and skills among healthcare workers and developed strategies to enhance their capacity. This information helped inform policy decisions and guided future training interventions to strengthen the EPI/PEI.
As AD Training, I collaborated with various stakeholders, including government agencies (District Administration), other primary healthcare vertical programs, NGOs, and international partners (WHO, UNICEF), to ensure coordination and alignment of training efforts. I participated in national and regional immunization working groups, contributed to the development of national immunization policies, and supported the dissemination of guidelines and protocols.
Additionally, I integrated a mental health component at the primary healthcare level for the well-being of children and women. I conducted regular meetings with PHC vertical programs (MNCH, TB/Malaria) to promote mental health awareness and intervention measures. I also conducted sessions with stakeholders to emphasize the importance of mental health in preventing suicidal incidents and promoting school mental health.
I also participated in the formulation of Annual Plans of Action (POA) regarding essential/routine immunization to improve coverage and bridge gaps. I performed coverage analysis of vaccination rates across the district, devising various strategies to achieve given targets.
