  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the operated fleet.
  • Ensure that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the FlyDubai and regulatory requirements. This will be achieved by making full use of the resources made available by FlyDubai and in keeping up to date with the latest issues of all forms of support documentation.
  • Ensure that certification of tasks is carried out only within the limitations of the company's issued approval. This will require a comprehensive knowledge of the FlyDubai Procedures.
  • Ensure that all maintenance is carried out to the highest standards and within the operational limitations prescribed. This means that all maintenance is to be carried out in accordance with the manuals and documentation provided by FlyDubai.
  • Completion of all Work Packages as allocated. Ensure that all work packages are completed thoroughly and the relevant AMOS entries are made. Ensure that any damage identified is recorded correctly and concisely.
  • Assisting with the recovery of AOG aircraft, supporting down route requirements when requested. Ensure that the job holder has their passport at work at all times and that the required inoculation is kept up to date.
  • Raising Parts Requests for ADD as required. When raising an ADD and the spares required are known, the job holder is required to ensure that all associated spares are ordered and that the AMOS and the ADD Sheet in the Technical Log are annotated accordingly.
  • Assisting with operational overtime requirements as requested. This will include both voluntary and rostered overtime, totaling up to 50 hours per calendar month.
  • Assist the Team Leader from Line Maintenance as required. When allocated teams and/or tasks by the Team Leader Line Maintenance, the job holder will carry out their duties accordingly.
  • Ensure that all licenses and authorizations issued by regulatory authorities and FlyDubai Quality Assurance remain current.

Aircraft Technician - Base Maintenance

  • Routinely maintain and service aircraft, engines, components, and/or approved structural repairs according to manufacturer procedures, while observing all safe procedures for fluid replenishment, aircraft refueling, and charged/serviced aircraft systems.
  • Ensure that any necessary component replacements and other maintenance tasks are completed as directed by the immediate supervisor. Obtain and understand Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPCs), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) or other approved documentation required to accomplish the task.

Always maintain excellent housekeeping and keep all work locations clean. In order to achieve this, safety shortfalls must be identified and communicated.
  • Ensure work areas (including the ramp), vehicles, stands, lockers are free of FOD and that toolboxes are regularly audited, maintained, and clean.
  • Ensure compliance with airport safety regulations, including holding and maintaining an Airport Driving Permit. Familiarity with airport maneuvering areas is essential.
  • Manage performance through collaboration with the supervisor, utilizing the My BC system to agree on training requirements and development plans.
  • Achieve prompt execution of all assigned tasks with the goal of maximizing ground time and minimizing operational disruptions/delays. It involves obtaining an aircraft/component status brief from a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE), reporting, and preparing work accordingly. Provide relevant information to the LAE during shift handovers in case of aircraft/ component/ structural defects.
  • Using RMS / RTC when appropriate, apply current knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance to assist with resource allocation.
